French Zombie Film, The Horde

I don't know how this one slipped past me. There's a movie due to be released this year out of France called The Horde. It is directed by Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher (whom I don't know) but Xavier Gens is executive producer. Xavier Gens directed one of my favorite films, Frontier(s). Other favorite films to grace my DVD player from France include Them and High Tension.

If you're still not convinced, watch the video below. Yes, it's in French. Don't worry, it'll still get you excited to see the movie.

Reportage France 2 - Les films gore en France (décembre 08)

And if that's not enough, read the plot summary and enjoy some pics from the film. 2009 is quickly becoming the year of the zombie.
North of Paris. In order to avenge the murder of one of their own by a group of ruthless gangsters, four corrupt cops go on a rampage in a condemned building serving as the mobster’s hideout. Now trapped, the officers are about to be executed when the unimaginable occurs: hordes of bloodthirsty, cannibalistic creatures invade the building, savagely attacking everyone. Unexpected alliances are made when their lives are threatened by the unthinkable.

  1. I've had my eye on this movie for a while now, but I still wonder if these creatures will be the undead, the mortal infected, or something more akin to mutants such as in Slither or Planet Terror.
