Beautiful Blogger Award

Wow! I am excited and surprised to announce that I was just given the "Beautiful Blogger Award". To be recognized by those who read my ramblings and those who write their own is a huge compliment and one I do not take lightly. This award was given to my by Aspasia of Blood Lines.

I must say as honored as I am, the idea of writing seven things about myself is a bit ominous. I mean, it's not like you're here to read about me... unless I were a zombie. So, in no particular order and strictly zombie-related...

1) The first zombie movie I saw as a child was Romero's Dawn of the Dead when I was maybe 7 or 8.

2) I have had dreams about zombies since I was a child and still have them to this day.

3) Regardless of where I am, one of the first things I do is size up my surroundings in case of a zombie outbreak and have done this since I was a child. Not out of paranoia, but out of fun.

4) I was a zombie 4 years in a row for Halloween as a child.

5) I was well on my way to finishing a zombie novel until I started pouring all of my time into Zombies & Toys. It's nearly finished and I hope to have it published sometime next year.

6) Zombies & Toys has truly become a labor of love and even though I loose sleep, neglect my family, use vacation days, and put myself in debt, the friends I have made and the people I have met make up for it ten-fold.

7) Sharing my passion for zombies and Zombies & Toys with my family and having their support through it all is the shiny bow that ties the whole brain-filled package together.
