As Close As You Can Get To A Real Zombie Infestation

Dan Barkasi

Like any hardcore fan of zombie films, this writer has always possessed vast wonder about what a real zombie apocalypse would be like. Has the desire to simulate such an experience ever been desirable to you? If the answer is yes, than the Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse might scratch you right on your infected itch.
What is this, you ask? Basically, it’s a haunted house, but done zombie-style. However, it sounds like it’s so much more;  Providing a full-blown simulation of surviving what we’ve all seen in our favorite films.
The setting for the event is a location that’s over 100,000 square feet of mayhem. Included in the setup are a motel, truck garage, and various restaurants and businesses to set the scene.  A military survivor leads attraction visitors.  During the adventure, survivors will encounter many different happenings along their route to making it through to safety.
Another enticing part of the fun is a zombie-shooting course.  Visitors get to shoot our favorite undead beings with paintballs. Practice for the eventuality of the real thing, perhaps?
This is the kind of interactive twist on the haunted house that all zombie fans have been salivating over. Being from Pittsburgh, catching this myself will not happen. However, if you’re in the Atlanta area, or up for a road trip, it certainly sounds like it’d be worth your while.
We at Zombies & Toys would love to hear about the experiences of anybody that is fortunate enough to check out this undertaking!
