Kids, I have an addiction. I was supposed to get this post up two days ago, but I was busy. Maybe not so much busy as pre-occupied. Okay, by pre-occupied I mean playing this game.
Anyway, meet Woody Two-legs. He’s the least famous pirate ever to live, or at least was, until he got his hands on some dirty money. The story goes, as he’s about to bury his loot the dead guy he borrowed it from decides he wants it back.
Mr. Jones, and his crew of scurvy, undead sea dogs attack and try to wrestle the booty back. Woody won’t go down without a fight, and that’s where you come in. Guide Woody’s ship around obstacles, monsters, and ships full o’ Zombie Pirates as you fight for the right to the treasure.
I’m always on the lookout for kid-friendly Zombie related material. My two-year old son is just as nutty about this kinda stuff as I am, and it’s tough to find things he and I can enjoy together (without the wife or mother in-law giving me the “good example” talk.) Zombie Pirates is an easy to play, light humored good time for all ages. The colors came straight out of a Crayola crayon box, the graphics are swollen and cherubic, and the music is just as fun as the game its self.
To read more, make the jump over to the official website. To me, the $4.99 tag seemed a little steep, but the free demo was worth the 3 minutes I had to wait in line for it from Public Server #2 on Atomic Gamer. Only click if you’ve got a clear schedule for the next few hours, seriously.
