Z&T Presents: Of Fangs and Fetor

Todd Jepperson

A while back, we posted a snippet we caught wind of teasing about the Spike TV show Deadliest Warrior pitting a Zombie Vs a Vampre. Emails were received, the poll was cast, and Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner.

Of all the emails we received, one piece stood out as something we could not ignore. Emailer Michael D. wrote:

“As much as I love zombies, vampires would win this one. For one, vampires can think; they could beat zombies in any of the ways a normal human could. Plus vampires have super strength and speed, even if you don't count the [variety] of mythical powers they possess. And taking all of that aside, a vampire is already undead. Zombies are mindless and only [crave] living flesh; they wouldn't even attack a vampire. And say the zombie did somehow infect the vampire, they vampire is already dead and souless, possessed by a demon, which ever mythology is used, at the worst it would just become a carrier for the virus. Which of course if the battle is who would win in a battle of destryoing the world, well the zombie virus would, and using vampires as carriers is only one notch in [its] favor.”

However, the emails were only half of the situation building. We ran a poll throughout the month of May and the results were conclusive: one hundred thirty-four voters picked the Zombie over just twenty votes for the poor vampire. Those are seven to one odds for you ‘Vegas type. It doesn’t get much more one sided.

It took about a week longer than expected, so let’s get right down to it. We present Of Fangs and Fetor; Zombies vs. Vampire. Click the link at the top of the page to view. Mr. Michael D. email me again at todd@zombiesandtoys.com with your name and address and we’ll send you a whole bag o’ goodies for your submission. Thanks to everyone who participated. We hope it was as much fun for all of you as it was for us.
