New Movie Posters of [REC] 2

If the news of [REC]3 got you excited, new movie posters of [REC]2 have been released. Now if we can only have the chance to see the movie. It was released in Spain several months ago.

[REC]3

Spanish film [REC] was an extremely and legitimately creepy zombie-ish film that should not be missed. If the name of this film does not sound familiar, the US butchering of [REC] was Quarantine. Maybe I’m being a bit harsh. But I have yet to hear from anyone who thought Quarantine was better than the original. But I digress…

I reported earlier that [REC]2 is finished and was released several months ago. Unfortunately, Sony has yet to offer details as to when we can expect to see this stateside. Even though we are left hanging with the knowledge that there’s a part two that we are unable to view, news has been released that the original writers of the first two are coming back to bring us a third installment. It is also rumored that the plot of the third will take us outside of the apartment complex we are familiar with. No word yet if it will still be the hand-held “shaky cam” type of filming. Regardless, I still consider all of this good news.

[REC] 2 - Movie Review

Again, not by me, as much as I wish it were. Fearnet has the review for this I-can't-wait-to-see sequel. Sample this excerpt from the review then head over here to read it in its entirety.

Co-directed by the two guys who delivered the first [REC] (that'd be Paco Plaza and Jaume Balaguero), [REC] 2 seems fully intent on being an unapologetically slick '80s-style sequel. And by that I mean this: Part 2 picks up 'one second' after the original leaves off, it takes great pains to give its established fans precisely what they want, and then it goes off in a few (very cool) directions that you probably weren't expecting. So, sure, it's not brain surgery, but I say it's always cause for smiles when a horror sequel is delivered with care, craftsmanship, and lots of crazy carnage.

[Rec] 2 - Pics and Clips

Due for release at the end of the year, [Rec] 2 looks to pick up where the first left off. And judging by the trailers looks intense! I still can't seem to get my hands on a copy of the first [Rec] but did see Quarantine which, as you know, is a remake. I thought Quarantine was good for the most part but I felt some of the character's behaviors did not fit. Though, there are worse movies to watch.

Regardless, enjoy some [Rec] 2 pics and clips.
