Zombie Zoo - review and contest

It's been awhile since we featured a product review so allow me to begin by apologizing. This is something we hope to correct, however. As part of our effort to provide you with some gift ideas for this holiday season, we are bringing you a glimpse into the world of the Zombie Zoo. Created by Neecy Twinem, we are treated to a cute and cuddly world of undead animals. With a name like Zombie Zoo, I hope most of you were expecting this. The zoo so far consists of 5 animals: Rob, Toxic, Boo, Muck, and Stitch.

We are fortunate enough to offer you a review of Rob. After the review, keep reading to find out how you can give him a new home, yours!

To start, this guy is rather large. Much bigger than I anticipated. He is about 12 inches tall and reminds me of a large Ugly Doll in terms of size. The consistency is about the same as well. As far as stuffed animals go, he is squishy. The filling is soft while still retaining enough firmness to help maintain his shape. The "skin" (is there a technical term for the outter casing of a stuffed animal?) is soft and I can definitely see a child using it as a pillow. Speaking of kids, Rob seems to be durable and able to withstand play. I didn't try to pull him like a Stretch Armstrong toy, but you can definitely tell that he is well-made. Stitching is firm including the undead details that are sewn on. While seemingly durable, the attached tag does request that you hand wash the surface only.

I am always a sucker for zombie creations that are suitable for my children and the Zombie Zoo is no different. Neecy is creating a fun world of undead animals that any zombie-loving parent or collector of designer plush should be able to appreciate. There is also a poster available of this first series featuring all of our new friends. For more pictures and additional information on the Zombie Zoo, please visit the official website.

As part of our two year anniversary celebration, Neecy is giving one of our readers a chance to take home Rob! For your chance to win, email your name and address to zombiezoo@zombiesandtoys.com. Also include an animal you would like to see added to the zoo and a suitable name. We will choose a winner on Dec 15.

  1. I can't even tell you how much I adore this zombie bunny! You can tell from my avatar that demented rabbits are a passion!

A zombie bat? A zombie elephant?

  2. Sooo cute! I like the bunny and the pig best, but I wish they had mini versions - like half the size.
