CDC Releases a Free Zombie Comic to Promote Preparedness

Todd Jepperson

While trolling the web for some new reading material, I came across a little offering from the CDC. The comic is called Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic and it's  a 34 page indie style comic about what could happen if the Apocalypse was upon us.

But, just as they have done in the past, it's all for a good cause. At the end of the comic, there's a quick little nudge to get your affiars in order:

"We hope you enjoyed reading this fictional story. It's meant to be both educational and entertaining. Now that you've seen the importance of being prepared, take the time to put together an emergency Kit with the items included in the checklist on the inside of the back cover. You'll be ready for any kind of disaster, even zombies."

If you're interested in reading the full comic (which isn't a bad way to spend 10 or 15 minutes), then head over to the CDC's Preparedness101: Zombie Pandemic, but don't forget your boomstick.
