Wizard World Phili 2014

If you follow us on Facebook or Twitter, you know that Wizard World brought us the Philadelphia Comic Con this weekend.  Everyone with a pop culture interest needs to experience a Wizard World show.  I always enjoy vending and attending smaller, independent shows, but nothing compares to the ambiance of a giant geek fest.

The program was extensive, so I suggest first-timers research and plan a strategy in advance.  There is much to see and do on the "floor."  It will easily take one full day to simply look over all of the vendors and events.  There were displays presented by X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Purge, Guardians of the Galaxy and more. Pure euphoria for anyone who enjoys towers of shirts, walls of toys, and tables of comics.
There were massive amounts of talent in Artist Alley.  We always spend another day's worth of time in this area.  A well-rounded list of guests including fan favorites such Arthur Suydam, Neal Adams, and James O'Barr.  If you plan on obtaining any autographs, you should probably budget most of a day.  Fans of Dr. Who had the opportunity to meet Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.  The full list of guests is never disappointing.
This show was my first experience using the networking app, frankly.  It was a fun experience and a way to participate with fun events during the show and it also offered me the opportunity to ask questions to convention guests and even win prizes.  Con presenters would periodically send videos and pictures of convention events as well. Very cool.
If you can't tell from the pictures and tweets over the weekend, we had a great time.  Fun for the family, Philadelphia felt like an amusement park for geeks!
