Zombie Survivor Shirt

Matt Boiselle For all of the reality TV junkies out out there that have a love affair with the hit television show "Survivor", I'm sure that you have purchased at one time or another from their website one of the corresponding tribal groups' t-shirts. Well say hello to the ultimate survival shirt - fresh off the printers from the gang at http://www.teeminus24.com/ - this tough looking shirt is something that these reality show producers should get a long hard look at when considering a plot for one of their next cash cow pilot episodes.

Honestly, can you say that the aforementioned show can really be about survival ? With a fully stocked medical clinic on the other side of whatever island the contestants may be on, and a buffet station that would make any power-eater start drooling hardly can be construed as hard times. (Come on, do you really think the host and camera crew are dining on leaves and fish guts too ? ) To add a little horror to this show for next season, lets drop onto the island about 100-200 flesh-hungry rage infected zombies and watch these prissy little camera hogs run for their lives !!! Oh well, in the meantime, head on over to http://www.teeminus24.com/ and grab yourself and your tribe a whole slew of these killer shirts - they are only $12 for Men's - $13 for ladies - & $14 for the little ones. You cannot beat those prices with a stick, so prepare to Outrun, Outgun & Outlast the walkers that will be infesting an island near you !!

The Walking Dead News

It's no surprise that with AMC's comic book-based hit, The Walking Dead, returning this fall we will begin to see a bunch of new merchandise.  Not that I'm complaining.  The only collectibles we have had up until now are the statues and busts CS Moore Studio gave us (see our review).  So, I wanted to share with you a few links and tidbits that hold us over until season 2.

McFarlane Toys is bringing us The Walking Dead action figures.  There are two series ready to go with 4 characters in each.  Series One is giving us Rick, Michonne, and two zombies.  As a collector, I am happy to see McFarlane get this license.  Their toys are typically not known for their articulation, but the sculpts, poses, and accessories are generally top-notch.  We will be carrying these in the Zombie Toy Store but we are nearly pre-sold out already.  Pre-orders will be filled and I will continue to accept them until my distributor is dry.

Cryptozoic Entertainment will be bringing us a series of The Walking Dead trading cards.  The 72 card set will include events from the first season of the AMC series.  There will also be cards that will feature autographs and memorabilia from the show.  We will have more information about this set as it becomes available.

A funeral parlour was recently the home for a poster advertising The Walking Dead. Clear Channel, who is responsible for the sign, promptly made arrangements to have the sign removed.

Finally, there's a new horror-themed shirt company called Terror Threads that features some great, new The Walking Dead designs.  There are several other zombie shirts and, of course, general horror designs.  One word of warning: Don't go look unless you have money to spend.  A lot of these shirts are too nice to pass up.

Zombies & Toys Shirts Now Available!

We finally have a way for you to tell the world that you like zombies and still play with toys.  And you'll even look good while making this statement!  Hot off the truck are the new Zombies & Toys shirts.

Shirts are available in red or black and both feature three color printing of our favorite zombie on the front.  On the back... "Eat Brains Collect Toys" in white.  These are printed on 100% pre-shrunk cotton Tultex brand shirts.  The best way for me to describe them would be to compare them to American Apparel.

Shirts, as well as toys and more swag, are available in the Zombie Toy Store.  But for a short time, use the link below or in our sidebar to purchase and receive FREE SHIPPING!*  So... what are you waiting for?

Zombie Shirts to “Flip” For

Travis D. Roderick

“Flip shirts” are nothing new. The premise is simple: on the inside of the shirt is an image that, when “flipped” inside out, fits over the wearer's head like an impromptu mask. They're becoming increasingly popular with sports fans, where a simple wardrobe maneuver can allow one to don the visage of one's college mascot, or even the face of a favorite player. In fact, recently spotted flip shirts have run the gamut from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to The Muppets to “It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia” themes.

Capcom was perhaps the first to use the conceit with a zombie bent, with their Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles promotional t-shirt at SDCC last year. Of course, being that that shirt is over a year old and was a highly sought-after exclusive, chances of netting one for yourself are relatively slim. And with Halloween less than a week away, what's a notoriously cheap, unpaid zombie blogger...err, regular Joe or Jane, to do for a costume? Fear not, for a couple sources are coming to the rescue just in the nick of time.

Deez Teez offers both male and female zombie faces on the inside of a shirt that, externally, prompts passersby to “Ask Me About My Zombie Shirt.” While I personally find the faces to be a little small, the designs are striking and easy to read in their black-and-white-and-red color scheme.

Surely coincidentally, Etsy seller, "amberequinox" is offering similar fare, though of only male visages. (Though he/she does also offer Vampire and Monster takes on the concept, as well.) These faces are a little larger and full color (looking almost like paintings), though the shirts lack the witty message on the outside. Some may prefer that simplicity, though.

So if you're days away from a rocking Hallow's Eve party and have yet to figure out your alter ego for the event, there are worse ways to go than a “surprise” zombie for the evening. (But ladies, don't forget that the shirts are single layer; meaning, should you choose to demonstrate the tee's virtues with nothing else on underneath, you have only yourself to blame if the resulting flash has guys begging for repeat performances for the rest of the night.)

Fright Rags - contest and update

I know I've mentioned Fright Rags here before and I hope you have taken the time to visit their store via the link in the margin. For the record, I do not get paid for any clicks or purchases. Aside from having a nice selection of horror-themed shirts (more on that in a minute), they go out of their way to make you feel like part of the team. They offer exclusive discounts, merchandise, and updates to those who subscribe to their newsletter and even give you the opportunity to vote on new designs.

The primary reason for mentioning Fright Rags is to share with you that they have brought two shirt prints back from the dead! Oh, yeah, Fright Rags generally only produces shirts in limited quantities and once they're gone, they're gone.
Anyway, two classic scenes are now available once again: Zombie vs Shark and Zombi 2 Eye Gauge. Follow the links to check them out!
This announcement also reminded me that I have a few Fright Rags shirts to give away thanks to their generosity! While not zombie related, you can take home this size XL vampire shirt by emailing your name and address to frightrags@zombiesandtoys.com. One winner will be selected August 6th.

Zombie Shirts

Some new zombie shirts are popping up that may be of interest. First, our friends at FearWerx have a some new designs to add in addition to the classic ones they have been offering. They also have some Winchester Tavern attire that does not appear with a normal "zombie" search. Their new shirts include a "No Running Zombies" design and, my favorite, the glow-in-the-dark "Zombie Evolution" shirt.

Threadless T's have also unearthed some previously sold out designs including "The Horde" and "In Case of Zombies".

Sourpuss Clothing also has a ton... and I mean a TON of various zombie accessories. One thing I found interesting and just in time for summer is the zombie bikini.
