Zombies vs. Nazis Review

David Brown

Don't let the title fool you here, you are not about to play another round in Call of Duty, what you find here is the latest book from Scott Kenemore, author of titles such as The Zen of Zombie, Z.E.O, The art of Zombie Warfare, The Code of the Zombie Pirate and Zombie, Ohio.  Following along the same lines as Z.E.O and The Zen of Zombie, Kenemore uses his witty dialect and tongue in cheek humor to delight us yet again.  Z

Zombies vs. Nazis follows the writings of three Nazi officers who are sent to Haiti to find the secrets behind the mysticism of Voodoo and the zombies that it creates. Our story unfolds through the entries in their journals as they report back to the homeland.  In their individual entries we see the vastly different personalities of each officer.  Kenemore continues to portray some authenticity with his respect to not only the Nazi ranking system, but also to the dialect used.  You feel at times that you could be reading the journal entries of real individuals and this helps you really get into them.

The book's page count, clocking in at 250 pages, helps to pull the reader through at a brisk pace.  Helping to continue this pace are the wonderful illustrations by Adam Wallenta. Every time we see one we are pulled further in, even though there are some minor issues with repeated imagery.  Wallenta's illustrations work together with Kenemore's writing to create a seamless experience.

If you are a fan of Kenemore then you will not be disappointed.  If you are looking for a quick humorous read then look no further than Zombies vs. Nazis. There is enough here for anybody that makes it a great inclusion to the library of an zombie lover.  Contact your local witchdoctor or shamble out and get yourself a copy today, you will not be disappointed.
