More than 4,000 people joined together in Dublin last week to participate in the second annual Dublin Zombie Walk, making it one of the largest undead gatherings in the world. A walk for charity, organizer Eamon Doyle reports that €5,000 was raised. Proceeds will go to help several organizations including the Irish Cancer Society.
Zombie Walks all over the world have started growing exponentially in size in recent years. The Dublin Zombie Walk believes they might have broken the Guinness World Record currently held by the New Jersey Zombie Walk. Other massive zombie gatherings include the Toronto Zombie Walk, and the Seattle "Red, White and Dead" Festival which also claims to have broken the record earlier this summer.
According to the Guinness World Records website the current number to beat is still the 4,093 corpse record set by New Jersey last Halloween.
