Interview With Andrew Lincoln from The Walking Dead

Entertainment Weekly has our new favorite television show gracing its cover this week.  Make sure to rush out and snag your copy.  Not stopping there, they have also posted an interview with Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) on their website.  View the interview in its entirety here.

"[The television series] is more about what happens to somebody when everything is stripped away from them and how does one re-create society. The interesting stuff we’ve been finding as actors is the inter-character dynamic and how that changes and modifies. There’s scenes reminiscent of Lord of the Flies in there."

"The Walking Dead" - A Whole Mess of Info!

Updates on AMC's adaptation of Robert Kirkman's "The Walking Dead" is pouring in faster than I can keep on top of it. Not that I'm complaining. With each bit of info I receive, I become more convinced that it will live up to my expectations. Enough rambling, how about some updates?

The role of Rick Grimes' son, Carl, has been cast! Chandler Riggs is an Atlanta local where The Walking Dead is currently being filmed. His previous credits include "Get Low" and "The Wronged Man". Yeah, I haven't heard of them either. I think Chanlder looks the part. Now, let's just hope he can act.

Finally, Ain't It Cool News posted a bunch of pics taken during the filming of the series. A reader's bedroom window overlooks the set and he sent in the photographs. Keee-ripes, man! The Walking Dead Television Series Lead Role is Cast

We have a Rick Grimes, ladies and gentlemen. AMC has announced that Andrew Lincoln will be the face of our beloved hero. AMC's spokesperson, Joel Stillerman, had this to say:

“Andrew is an incredibly gifted actor. He has the presence and attitude to bring this character and story to life. We are thrilled that he is joining the cast.”

More good news? We can expect to see our favorite comic book come to life on television by October. October, people! I have said it before and I'll say it again... The Walking Dead is by far one of the greatest things a zombie fan could ask for. Forget any other book, movie, or comic and get yourself somewhere to read this thing. That goes for you, Jeff!
