Smells Like Fun

Our good friends over at Toy Break will be entertaining us for 24 straight hours this Friday, November 5th.  Toy Break is a weekly podcast that features news, reviews, events, and more.  You will find their link in the margin on the right.  Most of you should already be familiar with the Toy Break gang as we have sponsored several contests there in the past.

In an effort to upgrade their equipment and provide us with a better show, there will be a special live broadcast that will run for 24 straight hours.  There will be special guests, contests, live auctions, and lots of fun!  In fact, Zombies & Toys has donated over $100 of zombie goodness for the ocassion.  Make sure to tune in for your chance to win.

Half-Dead Fred Contest

Just a reminder that Zombies & Toys along with Philip Hynes are sponsoring a contest over at Toy Break. The prize is the now sold-out Half-Dead Fred resin bust sculpted and painted by Phil!

Toy Break is long-time personal favorite of mine. To win, all you need to do is go over to Toy Break and leave a post in the contest forums and post anything zombie-related. Links, videos, pictures, whatever. Deadline is June 23rd.

Also worth mentioning is ZT will be featured weekly on YouBentMyWookie. This Week In Zombie News will be every Friday and will recap what has been going on. YouBentMyWookie is an Internet media and online community for pop culture enthusiasts, toy collectors, and the inner geek in all of us.

Zombies & Toys on Toy Break

Zombies & Toys is currently sponsoring a contest along with Philip Hynes over at Toy Break. The contest is for the last sold out Half-Dead Fred bust. Entering is easy, all you need to do is watch Toy Break episode 122 for details. Really? Did you think I would spill the beans?

Toy Break is a weekly show that provides you with toy, art, and collectible news. It's seriously a great show and one I rush to throw on my iPod every week. It is presented by some of the greatest folks I've had the pleasure of meeting since starting Zombies & Toys. Show some love, have some fun, and go win Half Dead Fred!

Update

Just another "update" post to let everyone know what's in store in the coming months here at Zombies & Toys...

As I have said in the past, my lack of updates definitely does not translate to a lack of work. The Undead Bazaar has been taking up the majority of my time this month. I have been slightly overwhelmed and have some new participants. Therefore, The Undead Bazaar is going to extend into June. We still have plenty of artists to cover and great items to give away! Speaking of, our first contest will have a winner chosen this weekend so don't forget to enter now!

We have been steadily stocking new items in the Zombie Toy Store. We have added several new art collectible toys, movie figures, and some vintage zombie toys. We do not ask for donations to keep the blog running and never will. But we will soon have "swag bag" items in the toy store. These swag bags will vary in content and price containing stickers, buttons, key chains, shirts, mouse pads, and other items to show your support for Zombies & Toys.

Speaking of showing your support, we are "toying" with the idea of recruiting for a street team. Specifics have not been worked out, but if you would like to help our community grow by displaying postcard fliers, stickers, buttons, and other items please contact Jason at zombiesandtoys@gmail.com with your suggestions of how you can help.

There will be plenty of great contests throughout the summer and beyond! Sourpuss Clothing will be back with some zombie accessories. Fright Rags has some great shirts to give away. Zombie Ammo has sent us some zombie target sets to help you prepare for the apocalypse. FearWerx will be back with some more of their great zombie items. Horror Signs has more sweet signs, stickers, and magnets to give away. Zombie Blood will be awarding 3 lucky readers 4-packs of their Zombie Blood energy drink (exclusive contest for facebook fans).

Zombies & Toys will also be sponsoring a contest with our good friends over at Toy Break. For those not in the know, Toy Break is a weekly show about... well... toys. It's a show I look forward to every week. We have sent them an exclusive Zombies & Toys zombie bust hand sculpted and painted by Philip Hynes!

Boopity... boop... boop... News Flash!

I'm late as usual with another post. I finally got around to catching up on some episodes of Toy Break and am excited to report the mention of our very own Z.O.M.B.I.E. exclusives!

Everyone should be watching Toy Break anyway. If not, Episode 103 is a great episode to get started with. I would suggest backing up afterwards and viewing the Christmas gift episode as there's a ton of toys featured.

July Contest Winners Announced!

July has come to an end which means five lucky winners will be receiving some Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys courtesy of October Toys! They are all packed-up and ready to ship so they should arrive in their new homes in about a week.
