As Seen On Toy Break....

Boopity... boop... boop... News Flash!

I'm late as usual with another post. I finally got around to catching up on some episodes of Toy Break and am excited to report the mention of our very own Z.O.M.B.I.E. exclusives!

Everyone should be watching Toy Break anyway. If not, Episode 103 is a great episode to get started with. I would suggest backing up afterwards and viewing the Christmas gift episode as there's a ton of toys featured.

Night of the Living Kev Update

I promised an update once news was available about the previously mentioned Night of the Living Kev Inaction Figure...

The official word is that these may be available by the end of this month! These great toys will definitely be available in the Zombie Toy Store and I will also have a small number of Monroeville Zombies T-Shirts. Kev will sell for $11.99 and the shirts for $14.99. Anyone interested in pre-ordering and securing theirs can email me at zombiesandtoys@gmail.com.

I will also be receiving a limited number of the highly anticipated Pocket Zombies as they are released. Again, if you are interested in these guys drop me an email. Exact price is unknown but will most likely be between $40 and $45 each.

There are still sets of the exclusive Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys left but if you were holding off on the gray or regular glow-in-the-dark sets you better pull the trigger as they are almost gone.

Finally, there will be a small number of customizable Skullys from Skullyboom arriving. I am receiving a limited number of black, white, and glow-in-the-dark Skullys. These will be $9.99 and will be part of a great contest concluding in March for some toy packages! More on this to come.

As Seen On Plastic and Plush...

I just found out the Zombies & Toys exclusive Z.O.M.B.I.E. color was also featured on PlasticandPlush.com!

Join the fun and buy a set!

As Seen On SpankyStokes...

Just wanted to boast a bit that Zombies & Toys was mentioned on SpankyStokes.com, an art/vinyl/toy website. It's a brief mention about the new exclusive Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys we have. To snag your own set, visit the Zombie Toy Store.

Thanks to Arica for the heads-up!

New Zombie Toys!

The Zombie Toy Store continues to grow and if you haven't checked it out in a while go have a look. We have added some new novelty items such as the Zombie Devil Duckie, Zombie Finger Puppets, and Remote Control Zombie. There's the cute zombie-ish Deady the Bear keychain. And we have added an "Art Toys" section that will continue to grow and features items that should appeal to your zombie loving side.

The biggest news, however, is the arrival of Zombies & Toys' first exclusive! Working with October Toys, there is now an exclusive pink color of their great Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys. Even better? They glow red in the dark! The only place to get them is at the Zombie Toy Store. They are limited to only 200 sets so don't delay for too long.

Z.O.M.B.I.E. Toy Review

The second zombie toy review from BattleGrip.com happens to be of one of my personal favorite toys, Z.O.M.B.I.E. from October Toys. Rather than a full-blown introduction, I'm just going to post some links:

* BattleGrip.com review of Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys

* Zombies & Toys review

* Zombies & Toys contest for several packs of Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys

* October Toys official website

More Thumbs-Up For Z.O.M.B.I.E. Toys

Just a quick mention that Tomopop also has Z.O.M.B.I.E. fever! I'm glad I'm not the only one to think these little guys are some of the funnest toys you can get your hands on. The article makes mention of the new colors: purple, red, and gray.

Just a heads-up... Zombies & Toys will have these in stock this week! Not only will the new colors be available, but also the classic blue, green, white, and glow-in-the-dark. Stay tuned for details and special prices.

July Contest Winners Announced!

July has come to an end which means five lucky winners will be receiving some Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys courtesy of October Toys! They are all packed-up and ready to ship so they should arrive in their new homes in about a week.

Before I list the winners, I would like to once again thank October Toys and Toy Break for sponsoring and for all of the previous support. If you haven't checked out an episode of Toy Break yet, I encourage you to do so. I'm not blowing smoke, either. If you're a fan of toys, toy news, toy reviews, and listening to the opinions of cool people in the know, you need to check it out. But enough of my rambling, "Congratulations" to the winners:

Con Donaldson
Tim Noble - London, UK
Marina Gonzales - Fullerton, CA
Kyle Thye - Fairfield, IA
Robert Losito - Wayne, NJ

July's contest was so well-received, you can look for a duplicate in the future! That's right, Zombies & Toys will purchase and provide you with another opportunity to win more Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys! Don't put off buying any, though, as this will probably not happen until sometime in early 2010. Until that time, you can look forward to more great give-aways!

Zombies And The San Diego Comic Convention

The San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) is a toy geek's wet dream. New toy lines are previewed, major toy news is announced, and exclusive toys are in abundance. The SDCC is July 23 - 26 at the San Diego Convention Center. Click here for more info.

For those lucky enough to attend, please stop by to say hello and thank October Toys for offering up the goods for this month's contest. While you are there, make sure to take advantage of their exclusive offerings as well including some limited, hand-painted GWINs! You can find our friends at booth #4838.

Shocker Toys has some zombie goodness to offer atendees as well. From the pages of the Dead World comic, Shocker Toys presents King Zombie. I haven't read Dead World yet but know it's been around for a minute. I'm interested to hear responses from those of you that do read it. You can find Shocker Toys at booth #3849. From the Shocker Toys site:

Leader of the zombies, King Zombie!

Leader of the zombies is the intelligent, Harley riding, sarcastic being known as King Zombie. Killing humans is just a sideline to his cruel methods as he seeks to find a way to open the gates permanently and take over the earth.

Deadworld is a horror comic that attacks the zombie menace from a different perspective. In addition to having intelligent zombies with a goal and mission, Deadworld is also exploring the human interactions as mankind finds itself facing extinction. While some groups organize in the best interests of self-preservation, others use this as an opportunity to explore their own self deluded dreams.

Finally, the Godfathers of zombie toys, Sideshow Collectibles, will have some exclusives as well. I have already mentioned their zombie offerings The Butcher and Mort and they may both be pre-sold out already. But you can head over to their booth (#1929) to make sure.

Win Z.O.M.B.I.E. Toys From October Toys!

I've raved about October Toys and their Z.O.M.B.I.E. toy line several times. I even named them as my number three pick of my top five favorite zombie toys. Why? Head over to Zombie Command and read for yourself.

Well, great news! George, Ayleen, and Matt from October Toys have been kind enough to sponsor July's contest!

Grand prize is a Z.O.M.B.I.E. Horde package! Each Horde contains 13 randomly packed Z.O.M.B.I.E. figures in multiple colors (green, blue, white, glow in the dark) including School Girl, Rockabilly, Bathtime, School Boy, and the Ape!

Four runners-up will also be chosen with each receiving one full set of Z.O.M.B.I.E. figures!

Want more? Each winner will also receive a set of Z.O.M.B.I.E. Art Cards, stickers, and I'll even throw in some Zombies & Toys swag! Series 1 Z.O.M.B.I.E. Art Cards include nine cards, each designed by a different artist and inspired by Series 1 Z.O.M.B.I.E.s. Artists include M, Ego, Louie Lanford, Robotboy from Triclops Studio, Dinosauria, Apeman from Triclops Studio, Neil Winn, James Demetra, and Tone Rodriguez.

The folks that make the Z.O.M.B.I.E. figures at October Toys also produce and host a weekly toy show called Toy Break at http://www.toybreak.com. Not only is it an informative, addicting, and entertaining show; it's your key to entering this month's contest. To enter for your chance to win some Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys, email me with "zombie" in the subject at zombiesandtoys@gmail.com with your name, address, and the answer to this question: What is the name of episode 71 of the show? I'll give you a hint on how to find the answer, click here, view the archives, and scroll down until you find episode 71.

The contest is limited to one entry per person. However, like other contests, there will be exclusive opportunities to FaceBook fans and Twitter followers for bonus entries.

Great News From October Toys!

I posted earlier about the release of a new way to purchase Z.O.M.B.I.E. figures from October Toys. Well, for those who have yet to subscribe to their mailing list there has been an update.

It seems the Horde of Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys will now contain 13 zombies of various types and colors rather than 10 of the same. And better yet? The price still stays the same at $10! Besides, the package is way cooler than the M.U.S.C.L.E. garbage can we used to get as tikes. Am I showing my age? Regardless, click here and git yourself some Z.O.M.B.I.E.s!

If you're on the fence, click here to read the review and view the pics I posted already.

Bought some already? Then head over to October Toys and register for updates. Nice bunch of folks on the forums as well if you want to chat with like-minded fans of zombies and toys (the objects, not the site).

October Toys Update

Our friends over at October Toys sent out some info to those on their email list. If you haven't checked them out yet, I seriously suggest it. I talked about their Z.O.M.B.I.E. and Gwin toys in an earlier post.

My first experience with OT was as a customer. I was drawn to their site by the Z.O.M.B.I.E. toys and had been getting my feet wet with collectible vinyl toys. From the point of view of a customer, their service was top-notch! Fast, friendly emails. Quickly delivered products. What more could you ask for?

Well, George and the crew have stepped it up a notch for us over here at Zombies & Toys. They are sponsoring our July contest give-a-way! I'll provide more details as the sun-filled month approaches. But in the meantime, take in the updates and make sure to stop by and say "Hi" at their booth during the San Diego Comic Con!

First, they have made available a zombie horde to purchase. It's a package of 10 Z.O.M.B.I.E. all the same of different colors. Selling for $10 and arriving in some sweet packaging! Go buy some and get more details here.

From April 17th through the 19th, October Toys will be vending at the Los Angeles Fangoria convention at the Los Angeles Convention Cetner. Come by table #10 to check out the Z.O.M.B.I.E.s and Gwins! Click here for more info on how to view live streaming video of the show.

Some GWINS have been marked down. If you've been holding out, take advantage now. I know I will be!
