Animales de la Muerte

Todd Jepperson

Back in 2008, High voltage software announced a WiiWare exclusive title: Animales de la Muerte (animals of death). In the game, players would find a distressed zookeeper in Mexico loading up his young visitors with automatics and sub-machine guns to help him take care of his pest problem. Along the way, your weapons get stronger and there’s the occasional rescue mission.

The reason we’re telling you about it again today? It’s not just for WiiWare anymore! …possibly. at. all.

"It could very well be for WiiWare, as well," said Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at High Voltage. "We did some WiiWare stuff ( Gyrostarr, High Voltage Hot Rod Show) and it did okay. We didn't lose money on any of that. But I would say it wasn't encouraging enough that we would be doing a ton of stuff [on WiiWare]."

High Voltage just announced that Animales de la Muerte is coming to Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and Steam. PETA be warned, many zombie animals will be harmed during the presentation of this game.

Keep your eyes on the lookout for updates, which we should have after the Developer’s conference next month. As we hear about it, you’ll hear about it. Enjoy the Trailer below, and for some great screencaps, check out trueachievements.com.
